This huge aerial array was removed from a house in Emmer Green near Reading, the lashing was almost rusted through and the rig was in danger of falling, none of the aerials were working properly and water had penetrated the cap on the UHF antenna and run down the cable into the loft. Note the original 405 lines VHF antenna, showing the age of the installation. This was also a very heavy installation, as the mast was heavy grade steel, so I was surprised that the chimney had lasted over the years.
This was replaced with a galvanised cradle bracket, aluminium mast and a high gain Triax Unix 52 TV Aerial, much prettier and providing the customer with perfect Digital reception for their Freeview box.
